Going forward all donated medical bags will contain at least two (2) doses of Narcan to address any

need to treat an opiod overdose.

In 2019, Back the Badge USA saw the need to donate life-saving medical equipment to police patrol

vehicles in smaller towns across America. Many small towns did not have medical equipment for their

police patrol vehicles. Since our very first donation of medical equipment in 2019, Back the Badge USA

has given away over 150 paramedic-grade medical bags to 20 police agencies (and a

volunteer fire department) in 4 different states.

Yet, with all these donations, none of the medical bags contained Narcan . Narcan is used to tread opiod

overdose cases. Recently it has come to our attention that there are police agency that have not been issued Narcan.

To address this, we will make Narcan a mandatory item in all donated medical bags in the future.
